Works well

A clear, daylight photo.
The rear elevation, front of the house, garden, garage, side return, room or area you want to change.
Enough context to see the whole area.
Standing far enough back so walls, roofline, windows, doors, garden/driveway or room layout are visible.
For internal refurbishments, the full room from at least one wide angle.

Best avoided

Blurry or dark photos.
A blocked or partial view.
Standing too close to the property or room.
Photos with no surrounding context.
Images you do not have permission to use.
